A few weeks ago I picked up a monza mv 1x10 on the B&S from Mark. (basement enthusiast) by the way, Mark is a great guy to deal with. great communication, packs and ships excellent, and way more than fair on prices. (thank you again very much Mark) I owned a monza head in the recent past, (along with 2 ghia's and 2 maz jr's) and sold it to fund another gear acquisition, but deep down missed it. my guitar partner uses a monza head also. (thanks Lee) now, I have ALWAYS been a head and cab guy. I have played through a marshall 1965 4x10 for the last 7-8 yrs, and for 25 years before that, played through a early 70's marshall 4x12. a 2x12 is about the smallest i could ever tolerate playing through. ( I just love feeling air move behind me) so when Mark's 1x10 monza came up i was tempted, but just couldn't imagine how a 1x10 would impress me, or even be bearable, but i said "what the flip" and took a chance. now granted, Mark changed the speaker to a eminence ramrod, but i am shocked at what a big sound this can get in a 1x10 configuration. if someone would of told me this beforehand, I would have said "your nuts". NEVER would i have imagined it. when I first saw the Doc putting things out in 1x10's back when, I thought, "this will never fly"! (apologies Doc) so anyone who feels the same way as I did about these 1x10's, do yourself a favor and check them out. truly eye opening! PS- and it sounds even better hooked up with my 4x10! (lol)

The MONZA is a real special amp. I've had 3. The 1x10 is about as sweet as one can get, it fits the guitar sonic spectrum particularly well and puts out ALOT of sound. Congrats!

+100000. I can't tell you how many times I've turned heads when I crank that little box of glory up. It's an amazing amplifier. This is one 1x10 that won't take a butt-whuppin. It dishes them out!!!

Definitely glad you're liking it, Martin! It's a formidable amp, for sure... Since Doc is putting out SO MANY good amps, it's easy for one or two of them to get lost in the shuffle. I don't think he would've put out a 1x10 if he didn't believe it sounded good--and it does!
