I know there are a couple older threads on here about settings but I wanted to see what current owners/users are dialing their therapys in at? I'm using a Kline truxton, 50s Custom shop relic tele, and a 52 AVRI tele through the Therapy and I'm using a Dr Z 1x12 loaded with a cream back. So far I've settled on: master - to taste bass - noon mids 11:30 treble 1:30 Volume 10:00 I do like the sound of the mids up some as others have suggested on here but I feel like I lose some the that elastic feel. The mids turned up too mid makes it a little too stiff for my liking I prefer a little more bounce and relaxed feel. I'm hoping the sound will relax and soften up a little once th speaker breaks in and I'll be able to crank the mids a bit more. I'm mostly a cleanish player; I'm looking for gorgeous bluesy edge of break up tones. I play rootsy, blues rock Mayerish stuff. All tips are welcome, thanks!

I use the 1X12 Creamback with my Therapy too. Your good at 10:00 volume for edge of breakup, so I'd keep that selection. I crank my mids all the way with my Tele's but that can only be appreciated in the mix of a band. Trust me, setting knobs in the bedroom and then in the presence of a band will be different. I too like the tone you described. Here' are my settings:
- Master to taste but if you can get at about 2:00 it will open up the clouds and reveal the sun - bass is 10:00 - 11:00 - mids all the way (don't be scared lol!!) - treble between 1 and 2 o'clock - volume is at 9:00 for country gigs and at about 10:00 for classic rock / blues stuff.
I'm not sure if you play in a band but if you do give these settings a try.

Shane is dead on about the master-I'm always above noon,usually above 3 o clock.Lately it's been-Bass-11 o clock,Mids dimed,Treble 1 o clock,and volume 8 30.I recently got a Rickenbacker 360 and am enjoying clean chime.

I gig a lot with my Therapy mostly with humbucker guitars. We play country and classic rock covers. I prefer to have a little hair on my cleans and roll the guitar volume back just a bit. I also have the master between 2 o'clock and full on depending on whether we are in a smaller venue or outdoor events. The volume is around 11 o'clock with bass 9 or 10 o'clock, mid around 1 or 2 o'clock and treble 12 to 1 o'clock. I use a Z drive and a Strymon Riverside for overdrive and distortion. I should also mention that I have a 5751 NOS in V1 and Tung Sol 6L6's for the power section, an NOS 5AR4 rec and V30 open back and closed back cabinets depending on the gig.

Okay so After your suggestions and giving my ears time to adjust I agree that mid knob loves to be cranked! I've now got my master up around 2:00 bass 10:30 mids at 3:00 and my treble at 1:00. My volume is hovering between 9:30-10:00 keep tweaking there. It's almost like it has a marshallesque tone with a fender feel with the mids up. Very cool. I'm still on the fence if it's my favorite Z (I've had a Zlux, Stang Ray, z28, galaxy, ghia, Maz 38 and 18). Out of that list my 18 loaded with a blue and the z28 are the ones that stick with me. This is for sure up there with those two for my taste and I'm sure it's just nostalgia when I reference those tones. I'd really need to hear them side by side in person. This has scratched my fendery sounding Z itch. The z lux was close but no cigar for me mainly because; no tube rectifier, the fan bothered me, reverb was noisy and not surfy enough. If that amp had more sag and deeper verb for me it would have been perfect oh well. Guess I'm a therapy guy!
