It seems every amp I put this in, it makes it sounds better. I have one in my JAZ for a good while. It it perfect in there. I loved it in the Therapy I had. Now I tried it in my Ghia and I'll be darned... It sounds great with that too. There is something special about this speaker. I have the regular G12 as well and am auditioning it in my JAZ (because the C/S was pillaged from it and put in the Ghia ). It's good. But the C/S just has something else. I've never had a speaker that I liked in EVERYTHING I've tried it in. It's a great one. I'm not sure how they make these awesome soundings speakers in the US at half the price of just about anything else out there. But they do. I'm tempted to by a quad and try them in my 412. From what I understand, and a little Googling... The smooth cone was the first type of cone made for guitar amp. But as power went up ribs were added to retain the shape of the cone. Somehow they made a smooth cone that could handle high power (75 watts). I think it's as simple as that. There is something about a smooth cone speaker that I really like.

You should really try the G12A. With the Therapy, it will smoke any Weber or Jenson...

I have it in a 2x12 open back cab with a WGS ET65.
A very balanced combination; I use it with my KT45 and Ghia Anni.
No complaints.

I have that speaker and like it quite well with the Therapy.
However, I think I want to try it in the Maz 8.
I'd like to try the G12A. I might have to roll a few speakers to fund it.

I don't have the 12, but do have a pair of the 10c/s and they are very nice, well behaved speakers.

These are the seamless cone models, right?
I think they are very specialized. Super warm and--for certain things-- absolute magic. But if you are trying to make that pony do other tricks, it's a recipe for disappointment.
4x in a 1960a cab isn't the way to use these speakers.
