For some reason I got it in my head that I should sell my JAZ and with the money try another type of BF amp. Sometimes these ear worms get in my head. I don't know why For what ever reason I thought I had it long enough, I bought it new in 2010 I think. And I was thinking it was time for a change. I had taken some nice pics and was ready to make an advertisement on Reverb. But I thought I should give it a good playing. I've come to the conclusion that there is no reason to try something different in that tone department. There isn't anything that could possibly sound better than the tone I was getting last night. For the first time in a long time I clicked off the TSB that I installed. I cranked that sucker up pretty good. Plugged in my late 80's LP Custom with SD Saturday Night Special pup's . Dimed the mids and treble and brought the bass up just enough to that I could hear it. Around 9:00. Basic JJ's for power. I'm using a Warehouse G12 C/S. My gosh. It's glorious. Why I keep getting these ideas to replace it with a similar product is beyond me. Rather than replace it I decided to add a little buddy for it. I've never had a Ghia. I figured it was time. I certainly have the vintage American tone covered with the JAZ. Hopefully the Ghia will be as awesome of an amp on the British side of things. Excited for my incoming new Z. It's been a while.

Sweet move. It's hard to beat a Z for me too. Sometimes I've thought I'd try another brand for their take on a tone.....but I always realize that, not only can I not afford other brands, they won't be better just different. Usually the kind of different that makes me remember why I've fallen for Z's over the last few years.
I like how Z amps voice single notes especially. Really hard to get that sweet and singing voice from other amps. In my opinion of course.....but that's all I have these days.

Have to edit my original post. I peeked in side today and realized I'm not running JJ 6V6's. I went through some tube swaps a few month back and I was thinking I left it with the JJ 6V6's. I actually have a quad of Tung-Sol 5881's it. Kind of funny all this time I was really enjoying the great 6V6 tone lol...
In all reality I remember the difference not bieng huge. Little cleaner and louder which seems to work well with humbucker guitars. I'll be chuckling about this for a while. Funny how the mind works, or doesn't depending....
