It was difficult to pass up at $45. It knocked my Ibanez tube screamer off the board. Very usable tone controls, true bypass and built like a tank.

If it had a custom paint job, exclusive serial number, and $175.00 price tag you might hear more about them. Quality product and crazy price for sure!

TC Electronics makes good quality stuff. I have a HOF Reverb. The Tone Print feature is really pretty amazing. Lot a bang for the buck.

I keep the MojoMojo with my MAZ 8. The pedal offers just the right amount of extra kick when the MAZ is set to overdrive some with the guitar (Tele with low output pickups) volume full up. A bargain.

Oh yah, crazy for $50! I love mine. I picked it up at lunch one day because I just felt like buying something and it was cheap. I read some posts that slagged it hard and I was bumming out. When I got home and plugged it in I was amazed! Its really a great pedal.

First gig last night with the new pedal. With the Ghia on 10 or 11 without a BL and a combination of the Mojomojo and an Xotic AC Boost... was able to cover all my bases. Sounded huge... had two people approach me about my amp after the set.

Does anyone else think that the Mojo is a little on the dark side? I really need to crank the treble up to around 3:00 to get mine where I like it.

Hey Dave, I've not noticed it (but i have hearing loss so everything sounds "darK" to me). In fact, one of the things i like about the pedal is that it has separate Bass/Treble controls. i have the treble set about noon and then i dial up the bass up from hard left until i get the sound i'm looking for.

Aye, thanks Poodle. I've got the high frequency loss too! Weekends in my pre teen years I used to go out to Lions Drag Strip in So Cal and hang on the chain link fence about 10 yards from the starting line. Blown Top Fuel launches were addictive and oh so hard on ears...I'll never forget the pounding in the chest, nor the ringing ears for a couple of days. Young and oh so stupid, that was me. Wiser, older, and way deafer now.

My Dad used to take my Brother & I to Lions and Ascot fairly regularly. He was a good mechanic, so we grew up with a healthy dose of cars, motorcycles, airplanes... anything that went fast. Sounds like we may have grown up not too far from one another. I had to have my hearing tested to drive a truck for my ex-employer. I've lost about 35%. Some of it's age related, but headphones and loud engines didn't help.

I grew up in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach, graduated L.B. Poly in 1970...how 'bout you, brother?

Sorry for the thread hijack Mr. Poodle. haha.. no worries. i was born in '63. we moved to california in the summer of '74, west san fernando valley. i had cousins down in long beach. one of them was a high school principal. my first concert was at Anaheim Stadium in '76 with Cal Worthington as the M.C. Pretty sure he came out and wrestled "Spot" between Edgar Winter's set and Blue Oyster Cult's set.

I had a buddy that went to a Beach Boys concert at Anaheim Stadium in the early `70's. He said toward the end of the show, when they played California Girls the whole crowd was really into it and was swaying to the beat. It caused the upper deck to start moving back & forth quite a bit... like over a foot. As he was leaving after the show, he said he saw concrete that had fallen off and quite a few pretty big cracks that had opened up where big structural (concrete covered) beams intersected. The place was rock'in... literally.

Yes, without doubt, however that's part of what I actually liked about it. I started playing with a group that plays some heavier, grungier, more modern type stuff and that pedal was a perfect match. I felt it was super fat without being over done.

I found that it made single coils almost a little Humbuckerish.

Another feature that works on this pedal but NOT on 6 other true bypass pedals I have, is completely unrelated to tone. I have an amp with a boost/fat switch that can be activated via front panel or footswitch. In the absence of a footswitch I can remove battery or power from the Mojomojo pedal, plug a guitar cable into its output jack and go into the amps footswitch jack and it works the boost function just like any other basic footswitch.

How many tall cold ones did you consume before you figured that one out?

How many tall cold ones did you consume before you figured that one out? That's funny! Actually it was the cheapskate in me! My last footswitch went with the amp I sold and I needed another, and the new switch by Z has that pot on the side for the tone bypass. So I thought maybe a true bypass pedal with a pot in line might do the trick with no power of course. Now it should be clear I have no understanding of how things work. But, I actually like using the patch cord in a shorter length so I don't have to bundle up the excess. My tendency is to either use the boost alone or the pedal alone so with less to carry its a winner. Watch me still buy the dumb switch now, but it will be one of those generic Marshall style with the jack on the front for $13.99.
