So, the other day I took my (new to me) Remedy and Hamer Daytona to the hall where we're going to play an event this weekend. I just plugged straight into the front of the amp, no effects or anything, and I put it on the 40 W setting, cranked the master all the way up, I left the tone controls at 12 o'clock and turned up both volumes to approximately 2 o'clock. Un-****ing-believable. Hands down the best amp I have ever owned. The entire range of the guitar sounded flawless. It was thick, massive and tight all the way from the low E to bends at 22nd fret on the high E string. Absolutely stunning.
I can't even begin to describe it. Very often clarity in the low end comes at the price of thinness on the higher strings. Nope. Not here. And those high notes. Like bending a high C up a step? Huge and sustained, and no sinking feeling that the note is fading away from you. Smoother and thicker high end than my '71 Superlead, no flubby low end like my Bluesbreaker reissue, and I LOVED both those amps. Remedy is better, and easily the best sounding amp I've ever owned.
I bought this amp without a personal demonstration, relying solely on this message board (I've read virtually every comment, thank you!) and a youtube which compared the Remedy to a Fargen. All expectations have been exceeded!

I agree! The only trouble I have is the imminent release of the EMS. Not that I am planning anything... GAS may strike! Love what the Remedy does. ME

What speaker(s) were you running the Remedy into?

What speaker(s) were you running the Remedy into? First used a 12" Celestion Blue (on the half power setting) which was very nice but then tried the Creamback in my Maz Jr Combo, and I actually prefer that.

Now that's what I call an unvarnished review, and I'm not at all surprised at your experience. Really happy for you that you found a musical instrument to play your guitar through!

It hardly seems possible but I'm thinking it's probably going to be even better with a closed back cabinet.
