Soon to be in the mail..... Got it for (IMO) a great price. I potentially have a very cool gig next week. IF my band gets the gig AND I get the amp in time....it will make it's debut next week.

Very cool. I had an EZG-50 head like that. Loved the older oval front cosmetics on both the JAZ and EZG heads and combos. Always wanted to try playing a JAZ but haven't had the opportunity so far. Enjoy!

Cool, congrats. I saw that on reverb.com yesterday and I am so glad you bought it so that it is no longer a consideration for me. I really, really don't need another amp but that Jaz head was appealing. Though I have not played a Jaz, I have played a Z-Lux and so get the idea of the great tones that can be had. For me, more appealing if the tone is similar to the Z-Lux is the effects loop. I am not pursuing either of these Z amps as I have a 1970 Fender Deluxe reverb amp that sounds outstanding. I am not positive, but I believe 1970 was the last year for the black face circuit in the deluxe reverb. On top of that a previous owner installed NOS/OS tubes for half the tubes. If I ever move the deluxe reverb, I will most likely pursue a Jaz or Z-Lux. Have fun with the Jaz.

Once you figure out the EQ settings that work for you you're going to love that amp. I have gone to mostly low powered amps but I have kept my JAZ for those rare occasions I need a higher powered one. I like my JAZ with 10's and set on full power. What speakers are you planning on using?
Welcome to the JAZ club. It's a much under-appreciated amp.

Thx everyone!
I'm excited to get the amp in my hands.
I have a '72 Deluxe Reverb that I love but sometimes It doesn't cut thru with one of the new projects I'm in - Two guitars and a very electric (w/ fx) mandolin. Sometimes I just need the clean headroom.
That said it will still be in rotation...I've played amphitheaters and small clubs with that amp.
For cabs, I have a Z 2x10 & a 2x12 that has C-Rexs that sound heavenly with my '66 Band-Master. I also have a great 12" speaker that needs to go into an empty cab.
For now I'll go between the 2x10 & 2x12.
I like that I can go 20w into either a 12, 2x10 or 2x12 or bump it up to 40w if I need it.

I will be curious to hear your opinions about tone comparison between your 72 DR and the Jaz. Is your Z 2x10 cab the old style shorty cab or the current convertible cab design? I have the old style 2x10 shorty cab with Z speakers.

Mine has the three boards, so it's convertible.
If I could figure out how to post a pic in a reply, I'd post one.

It should sound great with either of those cabs. I've tried mine with 2 C-Rex's. Sounded good, especially when I was the only guitar. I think you'll cut through the other instruments better with 10's.

Agreed.
I've been using that cab with my Remedy and it is great in a band mix.

Well? Waiting to hear your report. You got the amp and love it, the amp is ok or you didn't get it because FedEx driver through it into the pond next door to your house?

Hey there. I had an issue with the seller (who is either a member of this forum or visits and saw my thread) and I had to get Reverb involved to get to be made partially whole. Still not 100% IMO. Let's just say that one sentence of disclosure in the ad would have avoided the whole thing and I'll leave it at that. Moving on.... I really like the amp. I def agree with what some have said in that you really need to dial in the eq. I think all of my BF & SF Fender's are about 95% of the way there without having to mess with the eq all that much. You are in Fender town and you fine tune with the Eq. It's not quite that way with the JAZ but admittedly I think I have some work to do on getting to where I want it to be EQ-wise. The trem and reverb are great! I had been playing with a Z-best 2x10 cab but it really shines with a 2x12 cab with CRexs. But really, there hasn't been an amp that I have run thru that cab that hasn't sounded killer. All that said, I traded my Remedy (with that 2x10 cab) for a Two-Rock Jet (and 1x12 cab) so I've been distracted with that amp....but that's a whole other post.
