This is us at a favourite pub venue last month. This is the longer version, and we also have a shorter one for promo purposes. Yes it's a somewhat whacky setting what with the artifacts dotted around, me standing in front of the ladies' cloakroom etc., but it's a great place! I used my Maz Sr/reverb head into a 1x12 with Creamback M, (normally a Gold, but I was trying the CB out for a few gigs), Airbrake on 1 click. Pedals were my KOT for the Strat and OCD V3 for the 335. Occasionally I also used my KTR as an extra boost.

Absolutely Brilliant ! Your tone, your playing, your voice... especially your voice, A list all the way. Fantastic vocals. You make it look easy.
BTW... did you get the Cure ?

Nice! I have to reconsider my opinion on the Maz. I tried it once in a demo closet using a very old and tinny tele and I didnt really understand the tone controls. I just pushed the treble up to about 8 oclock and started jamming. Eeeech it was finger nails on a chalk board. I figured it just wasnt for me. Your tone is great. I recently heard a few other demos where the tone was really good too. Wish there was a dealer somewhere around here to try these things.

Thanks so much guys!
Dcarver, the Cure arrives tomorrow!
Ash, the Maz Sr is a great amp, and with the Airbrake it's a really versatile setup. It's definitely worth spending time with those tone knobs though; you're right, it can be very bright with single coils....a while back someone else on the forum suggested setting them with your ears not your eyes. That works for me.

Band sounds great. Equally impressive is the great recording you were able to capture. I'd like to know your technique.

Band sounds great. Equally impressive is the great recording you were able to capture. I'd like to know your technique. The only technique I know is to bring someone who knows what he's doing! All I can say is I think he had four cameras, some lights, and mics on everything. He then tweaked the mix and added a bit of ambiance while editing.

GREAT band, Mickey. Love your voice and the way you make those tunes "your own!" Very crisp work by the drummer and bassist, too! Most excellent video and audio recording technique, especially considering the venue....really came across well.... Loved the whole enchilada!!!! DIG!

Yeah - wow! Great recording that's for sure. And your 335 tone makes me want to go check out the OCD.
Very impressive playing - and singing!

I love the look of the place! I like that eclectic decor style. Hey, what better place to eyeball all the chicks than right in front of the ladies' cloakroom. I love the healthy gal dancing to Superstition. Love that dress. Woulda been hard for me to concentrate. Your playing and the band is right on time. Love it. Thanks, made me laugh! She just ignored the cameras and carried on doing her thing, she'll probably never know the publicity she's got! It's a really great place to play, we've been playing there probably 6 or 7 years now. The landlord and his wife are lovely people, but unfortunately they retire at the end of this month, so although we have one more gig there it may be our last. Shame. Can I just thank everyone for your wonderful comments, I certainly wasn't expecting such a response, and we are, as we say in the UK, dead chuffed!
