Maz 8 is a great amp. I also loved the Pentode Triode switch. It was like having two amps in one.

I played mine all through the Masters,
Then I plugged into the Therapy during playoff!
The Maz 8 is really cool, I have been running it through my Power Station and just cranking the Maz. I enjoy that amp at least once a day!

Hi fasteddie. You got a very cool looking amp there. Kind of a stealthy ninja of tone. I've been playing mine every day for the last 8 months. Still can't decide if I like triode or pentode better.
If you want to make your Maz 8 brighter, get a hold of Perry R. Also a NOS 5AR4 had a very positive effect on my amp. Congrats. It's a great amp. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it.

I was playing at church yesterday and my tone was absolutely in the zone. I was in triode mode, master dimed and volume to just shy of breakup. Delay in the loop and a boost at the front. Nice pushed clean kind of tone. Absolutely cuts through the band when needed and blends well for chording and arpeggios. I think the amp responds well to eq adjustments on the guitar and in board and it gives a wide swath of sounds available. My favorite part is that it can have some thick tones while still having that nice high end chime. Love it!

Congrats! It's a fantastic amp! You should still find a way to talk yourself into getting an AirBrake or BrakeLite, though... they unlock so much more with these amps!
