Ive finally decided to place an order for a DB4, sold one of my non Z amps to fund it, but I'm still unable to decide if I want the 2x12 combo or head and cab version.
Can anyone one help me decide? Lol
anyone own he 2x12 combo here?

If you got the back for the 2x12 that's what I would go for.....plus you get a sweet umbrella and some tea. But a head is easier to lug around and can go with any cab. The Bluesbreaker combo is just cool looking and sounding.
Lucky you!

Jaguarguy owns a 2x12 combo. Sounds great but its a beast to move around.
I would get a 1x12 combo and the add an extension cab when I need to move more air

Thanks guys! Yes the 2x12 seems very cool, it's probably what I'll go for. Cheers!

The 2x12 is the way to go - those two blues are awesome with that amp. Heavy but awesome! Wouldn't go any other way!

Yeah...word is, you better be healthy with a strong back, or have some crew to help you.

Yeah...word is, you better be healthy with a strong back, or have some crew to help you. That's why Doc includes casters with it!

Z Man, I don't know about anyone else, but I think a DB4 and a Z Wreck both in 2x12 Bluesbreaker configuration would be the ultimate two amp rig. Those would look mighty sexy side by side!!!

Your playing skills could really make the 2x12 shine Jason. Glad you've decided to go with the DB4.

For a size comparison, here is the DB4 in front of a Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker - quite a bit bigger!

As a practical matter, I gravitate toward head/cab solutions. It is easier to carry separates, and I can mix and match cab/speakers to optimize for sound preference/requirements.

I went with head and 1x12 cab. But I always do! Get whichever you prefer. I like the flexibility of being able to put the head on any cab. I will say this though, I have a Z 2x12 open back cab loaded with blues and I have tried the DB4 on top of it. Holy mother of pearl that's one sweet sweet sound! If I had a roadie or was younger, I might go with the combo. But I'm not and I don't. Casters are great for moving on stage, but I'd still have to lift the damn thing into my car! I love my DB4. Whichever configuration you get, you're getting a beautiful beastly box of Tone Valhalla. Enjoy! It gets by far the most playtime of any of my amps.
