Does this youtube clip accurately represent a Remedy? The Remedy part starts about 4 mins in.
Appreciate any opinions. I recently bought a Maz18 but I think I should have gotten this instead.

That sounds a bit fuzzier than it actually is. Here is a good clip of capabilities of Remedy with LP

Here's a good comparison of Remedy and Antidote from the same guy above.

The Antidote/Remedy comparison sounds much better to me, quite similar to the one I posted. The first one, the Remedy Demo sounds kinda fuzzy and transistory to me. Thanks for posting!

Funny.. these all just sound like "Mike" (aka. "roknfnrol") to me! How 'come I can never get MY amps to sound that b!tchin??? (Can't possibly be a differential in talent.)

I'm listening to the video with my little laptop speakers.
Yes, it sounds like a Remedy, but there's a few things that are a little off. Like others have said, it seems a little fuzzy at times.
1) I don't know what speakers are in that cabinet...that can make a BIG difference. 2) I don't know if that cabinet is open or closed back 3) I don't know how the knobs are set...not to mention he changes them during the video.

John is right on all points. I would have posted the same, but he beat me to it. With this kind of tone, you MUST know what kind of speakers and the type of cab to be able to understand what you're hearing. And without knowing how the amp is set up, it's interesting, and sounds good, but you don't really get any data. That said, I've managed similar tones many times with my Remedy, even with an Alnico Gold and open back. Closed back with Greenbacks will be much better.

Mark's posts about those videos must be somewhere here, in the Remedy thread. He used to tell which spèakers and cabs he was using. Tons of tone!!

Yeah, you'll find 'em in here somewhere--especially if you search under his member name. But I do remember quite specifically that he used an Avatar or JDesign 2x12 cab (can't remember if it was open or closed back) with Mojotone BV-25M speakers most of the time.

I was originally put off the Remedy by the online videos. I thought the amp sounded thin and buzzy. Not powerful and authoritative. I found that it has a breadth of tone that wasn't apparent in the videos. My favourite Z, so far! ME
