The Guitar Shop in Port Credit, Ontario Canada has a GT on consignment for $1500 (Canadian dollars) .....
I'm looking, but still gotta share the opportunity :-)
Cheers always

If you get it you need to have the MV mod - so much more usable!

I bought it- can you give me more information on the master volume mod. Welcome to the Forum! A lot of good people and information here. Doc added a Post-Phase Inverter MV to the back of my GT - it can go from quiet to outright bleeding eardrums if need be. You'll find out that at the top end there are some great fuzz tones to this amp. Check the Dr. Z Website about modifications. Several years ago I think it was about $200 US to have it modded. Here's the link to the page on Doc's website. drzamps.com/support/available-mods/Walter Becker from Steely Dan is probably the most recognizable artist that uses the Maz GT. He has a number of them onstage with him at concerts.

I have found several great amp builders here in Canada who are either suggesting the master mod Dr. Z offers or power scaling - has anyone tried that- apparently it doesn't affect the tone in any way. I don't want to mess with the tone- I previously had a Carmen Ghia. I am running it into a 1962 Fender cab with 2 Celestian Gold 10's- sound amazing.

I also have the power brake- works pretty well but it is still loud.....Haven't gigged with it yet- but will soon. Dislike the tone of the bedroom setting....

I know that Doc isn't really keen on power scaling - he did try it though. He prefers the MV mod - really works great!

Thanks Mike- that's exactly what I needed to know. Tony from Tex amps is gonna do it- he's pretty awesome! I bet it works much better like that- which pedals do you like with it?
