Congrats Eddie. If these things ever roll out in red tolex I will have one, for sure. Seems like a great amp ! I guess I'm lucky in that respect. Several years ago my wife rolled out what I call her "Henry Ford rule" for amps that are to ever live in the main part of our house:any color as long as it's black. It does have a side benefit in that they all look pretty much alike.

However, every clip I've heard of this amp (including the newest ones from the Z shop) sound stellar. It would be great amp around the house for me (as that's as far as I go!) Congrats...I love 'new Z days' !

That getting weaker and weaker thing, you've kind of legitimized it! I need to try one, soon....
Enjoy that new amp!

Well, it looks real nice! I'm not listening to any of the sound clips or videos, because I don't want to be swayed. I'm happy with my Ghia and Maz Jr. However, that line about "I can easily lift and move it" has me almost wanting to listen as I have to see the shoulder doctor next Friday. Maybe instead of seeing my shoulder doctor, I should see Doctor Z! My last comment is I wouldn't worry about bass. As I've been recording more, I've learned how to shape tones to give everything its own space. It's dawned on me that when we play live, we tweak our tones to "Sound Great" and "Be Big" without considering how we really should be shaping the tone to fit within the band. A little less bass on the guitar allows it to sit next to the bass without causing a blur where you can't hear anything. That's my three cents.

Congrats Eddie!
The combo size and weight is a welcome benefit. I have a prosthetic disc at L5 S1 that works great and I am real protective. I personally have found that a head amp and speaker cabinet allow you to carry those things with better posture. I have the lightweight Maz 8 and another lightweight combo that I built.
From a posture and ease of transport it's easier for me to handle the head because it is somewhat balanced.
Rock on with the cure!

Congrats on the Cure! I love em!! Got to use out tonight for the first time as the whole band, I Love it even more! And you are right about the Z sound, I've had a ton of great amps Goodsell, /13, Matchless, vintage Fender and since the day I played my first Z ( a Carmen Ghia) that Z sound is what I judge all against! And then I sell them all and get double cured! This is the sound of my dreams with the volume control that until now was not attainable! Love it!

Great review...this amp makes wish I could have my young ears back. So I could blast away all day feeling invincible...it's a great feeling little amp and the level control really helps preserve my ears.

I spent years fighting for more "fatness" in tone, as that plus headroom, seemed to be the holy grail for guitarists! Then I listened to a few wise sages ( several of them on this forum) and discovered how to sit in a band, cut through the mix, and still sound huge / fat / have headroom..............the secret sauce is in the mids , not the bass! :
