All of my amps sound great with pedals, but the Cure really likes my Tumnus. I've been through a lot of klones over the years, but couldn't get along with them. I love the Tumnus because it has a bit more low end. Thanks to the Level control, I can get the most out of that pedal because I can dial in that natural breakup at any volume.

The Kr musical Gypsy fuzz sounds great through it.

BB Plus, SP Compressor both compliment my Cure and each other. My Carbon Copy sounds great running in front of the amp and I have a TC Electronic D Two in the loop for really short delays. They both sound great too. Hands down, this is the best amp I've ever owned. It sounds great by itself, it sounds great with pedals, it's nice and light compared to my old Rectoverb, and the level control makes usable anywhere! I have a Tumnus, Velvet Fuzz, and a Neunabar Immerse Reverberatory on the way and I should be good for a while ;o)

Another vote here for Barber. I actually have two Gain Changers, one set low gain (same idea as Timmy, etc) and other more medium OD, both flat EQ so amp tone is really quite unchanged. Had a JHS Andy Timmons hooked up but it really colored the sound, MIAB thing, didn't keep enough Z tone. Wampler Velvet Fuzz is mmmm too. Strymon modulation pedals. Wish I could find a chorus pedal that didn't boost volume. Loving the Cure.

I love the chorus on the mobius and you can dial back the level so that it doesnt boost the volume. looks like you have one on your avatar.

Not sure there's room for one but thanks!

Ned, are you running all those into the front end or do you use the effects loop? I just got my Cure on Friday and I haven't experimented with the loop yet. Everything sounds great going into the front of the amp.

Not sure there's room for one but thanks! My mobius is invaluable. got rid of chorus, wah & trem. its the shining star of the strymon lineup imo
