I gigged with my new Z for the 1st time this weekend. I have been using a Fender Twin and a Rivera Knucklehead up 'til now. Anyways, the Z sounded fantastic. Compared to my other amps it just seemed to have more character, and it sounded great with my Keeley TS9.
I was real worried about not having enough clean headroom. I had that problem with a Fender Deluxe one time. It worked out great. It was a small bar, and I had the volume around 9 o'clock or lower. It seems like a loud 18 watts.
Sunday morning I played a church gig, and the amp was actually too loud. I had it turned down too low. Still worked well. I sshould have adjusted the volume/matervolume a little more but we were rushed.
Now I'm really wanting a CG also, but no rush. I'm loving the Maz Jr.

How did you like the way it projected? Does it seems to throw a good amount of sound across the stage?

Thats a good question. To me it seemed very loud. Our drummer is also our lead singer 90% of the time. He normally wants nothing in the monitors except vocals. This time he turned up my guitar in the monitors. I don't think I even quite had the volume to 9 oclock, and it seemed as loud as my 50 watt Rivera. I could hear it with no problems.
I'll have another gig this Friday and we will have a soundman and a larger PA, so I'll let you know how it goes.
