Break out a set of ear plugs. It's sneaky powerful even at low volumes. I love mine, but I got to be careful in small rooms. Great choice. Low E with Authority.

Luv KT66 tone, and no one does it the way Z does. Route 66=Killer, Antidote=Killer, both amps kick a$$, luv em both. Congrats!

I had the chance to play the Antidote over the weekend. I SURE do like it!..Hard to describe how well I like it,,,"you don't really need big boy pants"...plug, play and enjoy..I think it is just an awesome sounding amp..playing thru 2x12 cabs and with Telecasters.. very, very happy with this purchase...

Congrats in an amaZing amp!
I am also glad to hear you don't think its too either. I think this amp gets a bad wrap for volume but I don't think its completely warranted.

I just plain flat out love it in the "vintage mode". Playing in a country/southern rock band it just seems to "fit". The few pedals I use also seem to work really well, Wampler Black 65, Phase 90, Wampler Delay and a Wampler Brent Mason OD pedal.. just purchased a Strymon Flint and anxious to see how it works with the Dote....

The never sell amp, after years and years of playing thru Twin Reverbs ( I still love them) and trying a Stangray, ZWreck and even the EZG50, the Antidote is sticking. I like it and it seems to like me. I have also recently purchased a Carr Impala 2x12 combo, they are quite close in sound but the Dr Z can really ramp it up and seems to cut thru just a little better. My biggest fear is I may have to get another head for a backup..

Stays cleaner for me. I like the ZWRECK tone but my pedals and what I wanted to play just didn't fit my ears.. We do a boatload of Waylon and old country along with new stuff and seemed the Wreck got crunchy before I like it. From someone who plays thru a Twin Reverb it was a stretch to sound right in a Wreck..not the amps fault..but that Bassman feel thru the Dote is spot on and like others have mentioned maybe not quite as Sterile. Like the warmth of the Dote.. just my opinion of course..

I play in a similar type of thing except we do more modern country and less Willie / Waylon and a lot of classic rock. In my mind, the Wreck would be perfect for that. I was using a Remedy and it was perfect for the rock stuff, but my ZLux is perfect for our set list. BUT..... I love the idea of the Wreck.

I hear ya, the Wreck would do fine. I just think for me after all these years being 'Fenderish" the Dote works the best. I really liked the low end of Ray and the Zing of the Wreck but will stick with what works. I think a lot of Roy Nichols, Don Rich, Pete Anderson, Brent Mason, Marty Stuart, Reggie Young, Vince Gill and many others that influence what I want to be playing, and it seems that my ears struggle a bit with the Voxy things.. Dr Z builds a great amp and I am sure everyone can find what they can hang with.

The Dote can also blow the balls off a charging rhino at 40 paces if you need it to...
