Congrats, Doc! Another stellar offering from the Z shop. Just think of how many you would have sold if you offered a head or different color combo. Maybe 102, 103... Just kidding, I had to... You're a funny guy Frank......... Z Lol...yeah Frank, he would have sold at least 2 more !

Nothing beats a Z - I want a Cure for small gigs now!
I love my Z-Lux.

I was talking to my Z Dealer today (bought a pedal) and they tempted me by telling me they had a Cure on order!
Lol, I went wobbly for a bit and almost pulled the trigger but then came to my senses and thought "damn it man, it's not red !" ,
I told then that I'd likely be calling at some point.....not to worry !

Buy a red Therapy, drop some 6V6's in it, pair it with a 97 dB speaker. Done. A couple years ago when I had a Therapy head home for a try it was clear that the amp had some great cleans but I likely wouldn't buy one. Even though everything I buy is head/cab, I have never owned a F-style blackface-type of combo so that's what I ultimately want (say something in the Princeton vein). the Z-Lux is tempting but there are things about it I don't want. The Cure seems to be closer to what I'd want but it would be great if it had reverb and trem built (obviously making it much more expensive). However, the notion of putting a Flint in the loop may be just the ticket. We'll see what happens over the next year with the Cure. I'm in no rush. There are a couple other brands out there that make some interesting amps that fits the bill as well.

2nd Cure headed my way! I am very much a minimalist as far as my rig goes! I really like the idea of having pretty much identical set ups to practice at home and for playing out at my church and other churches as we travel! The cure is the base tone I needed, along with not having to have brake lite which is it's biggest benefit to me! My set up now is my 79 tele into boss tuner, Wampler hot wired, wampler faux tape, Strymon Flint, Cure. All ran in front of the amp, I think the delay sounds cleaner that way? I do have a C Rex in my current cure or a little warmer sound, I could get that sound with the Z12 eq but the C Rex puts all my eq's at noon, which I love! Thanks Doc for a great amp at an even better price!

Got my 2nd one coming from Woodsey's music out of Kent OH, which was the closest one to me on Reverb.com. Ordered it today scheduled for delivery tomorrow! Cure #1 was about a 2 month wait, glad I didn't have to do that again!

OK, that's it, I can't take it anymore! I'm in. You won't regret it Eddie!! Thanks Mike. I only waited this long because I was trying to wrap my head around having both a MV and a level control on the same amp. Being thickheaded notwithstanding I got it figured out and had no more excuses!

I use it as preamp gain, power amp gain and over all volume! Horse power is easy to make but Doc made this one with unicorn power inside! It has everything you expect a Z to have plenty of power and then the magic kicks in and I can have that sound at low volume! Had to be made of unicorns!

I just ordered one. I couldn't resist. I'm looking forward to having a tweed sound with more control. Love the idea of the footswitch with the boost knob. Man, I've been waiting for this amp for a long time. Thanks, Doc.

Just pulled the trigger and mine is on it's way. To quote the noted poet and philosopher, Tom Petty: "The waiting is the hardest part..."

I received mine a couple weeks ago and am really loving it! I find myself sticking more with cleanish tones but I do like the wide tonal spectrum that's on tap. Here's a shot of my Ghia and Cure together.

Welcome, telemaster03. Will this be your first Z? Yes, first Z for me. I've wanted one for a long time...been struggling with programming a Fractal AX-8 and read about this amp. That was it, sold the Fractal and ordered the Z. I've had EL 84 Vox amps, EL 34 Marshall and Blackstar amps and I'm looking forward to this one!

I've had mine for a few weeks, and have used it a few times in a jam/band setting. This thing rocks! I've always loved my Ghia but it seems like every year that I get older it gets another pound heavier. The 33 pound Cure really is the Cure.

I ordered my Cure a couple of weeks ago, but it won't be here for a while. Strange, I've always gone for amps with reverb, but I like the simplicity of the Cure, and reverb pedals are so good these days. I'll try it with my HOF mini before I consider buying a "better" pedal. I've been wanting a Princeton type amp for a while, but don't like the quality of the current production ones, and from reading various comments the Cure can sound close, plus it's more versatile, so a better bet than a new "boutique" Princeton clone, and of course the current price is a no brainer. I went with a friend to Peach Guitars, and John only had one Cure left. We both tried it with a variety of guitars and a Catalinbread Topanga reverb straight into the front, and although we also hauled a Maz Jr combo into the demo room we both kept going back to the Cure. I have to say that when I first plugged in I wasn't that impressed, but the more we played it the better it sounded, and the decision was pretty much made for me when I tried it with a 335 and the Cure definitely sounded sweeter than the Maz, though admittedly we ran out of time to play with the Maz a bit more. However, my own Maz Sr is going nowhere, and I originally chose it over the Jr, so although my friend bought that Cure on the day, I ordered mine a couple of days later. He's pleased with his, he already owns a Z-Wreck but finds it too loud for many of his current gigs. I think I made the right decision, but won't know for certain for a few weeks. It's reassuring to keep reading the positive comments here.

With the flint...its nice...no regrets with this one...it was fun city right out of the gate at the music store...that rarely happens for me...
Its nice to have both maz and this...at first I had a notion of replacing maz's?...but now it only makes me appreciate there uniqueness more (maz) now...my studios are definitely going nowere....fwiw.

Good to hear....so the Flint works well in front, or in the loop? I've been thinking I might get one, though it's got more options built in than I'll ever use:)
