Sounds like fun! Is he leaving the Surgical Steel at home? It seems that way. These 6 shows will present Joe's early recording years, and each night he will change the set up.
On most of Joe's early recordings he used a JMP- 50, so he was excited about the EMS and figured it would work perfectly .

It went fine. But it was a bit too loud for the small House of Blues room. Joe may use two EMS sets on the up coming arena Tom Petty tour, fingers crossed.

Joe Walsh is an artist I would love to see live, but he seems not to play that often in Europe... What a gifted and inspired musicien! And with his Maz 8, Z-Lux and Dusenberg guitars, I'm wondering is the guy trying to recreate my tone or what?

I have been asking for this kind of amp for a while THX Mike Cant wait to hear it and get my PRS and SG plugged into, For those of you have not seen JW, do yourself a Big FAVOR and do what ever it takes to get out to support and see him, I have been blessed to see him in the Eagles and I saw him this past may 2016 in StLOUIS with Bad Co, Featuring a bet I won, Sharing guitar duties for the ill Mick Ralphs , Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, My wife kept telling me I was Crazy, Well when you have guitar heros you know what they play from amps guitars and look like Ha Ha Joe was using the SS head and his trusty Z Lux and man every song they did was spot on and he is talented beyond Belief, He should be reconized more for the work he has done guitar wise as a GUITAR GOD THAT HE REALLY IS, I think it's because he can do it all and his band and co guitarist just make him sound even better. I wish I could upload the pics I have we were about 6 rows back, I paid a ridiculous amount of money which I wont even say to see the Eagles who played the Brand New YUM CENTER CAP 35K PLUS as the first act in My Hometown no opening act just 4.5 Hrs with an intermission and joe got to shred the guitar with all his tunes I knew the magnitude of his talents then not that I doubted before this, but live is where you will see what I'm trying to get across, from the James Gang to The Eagles these were my favorite tunes and what I cut my teeth on trying to be a guitar picker, The eagles will never do another show now that the Legendary Glenn Fry Has Passed RIP GLENN so that Money it cost to see them??? I would have paid dbl that knowing Id never see them again, BEST MUSIC CONCERT IVE EVER WITNESSED< Joe Pays tribute to those folks, wrecked hotel rooms etc... via a Huge screen in the background during his show, A MUST SEE ask MR MIKE ZAITE AKA DRZ he will vouch that I'm Not blowing smoke or exaggerating by any means or anyone else whos witnessed his show. The folks behind us said I wander what he's been smoking he sounds wasted, LOL if they only knew JW he's gifted beyond his musical talents, Cant wait to hear the EMS!!!
*** do you have to have a photobucket thingy to upload Pics, videos? or am I just a goof that just doesn't know how?> if anyone knows PM me PLS,

Being old and from Cleveland, I first heard Joe in bars around Kent and Cleveland when he was a mere mortal like the rest of us, playing in bands before the original James Gang and shortly after when he, I and Dr Z were all picking up used (now vintage) guitars and amps from Difiore's and Barry at Mayfield for a song (if you are from Cleveland and old you'll know the references). He was great then, way beyond the rest of us mortals, and has only gotten better. We've got tickets for Petty and Joe in Columbus. Hoping for a few duets with the two. If you are a guitar geek, Petty and Campbell change guitars almost every song. What a treat!
