in my late teens, after years of listening to Zeppelin, I started expanding my horizons.... which lead me to this guy. Long before he became a famous producer for U2. this would be on my desert island list for sure.

Big Brian Eno fan here. I once had many of his albums, may still. But since I don't have an operating turntable, I haven't looked at my album collection in many years. This brings back great memories.

So, my evening routine is to do the dinner dishes with a set of headphones on. i open youtube on my phone and search for a favorite old album and listen while i'm cleaning up. this was my listening last night.

I guess I too gravitate to much of what I used to listen to. My wife coming from a total different background than myself also turns me on to some of the things I missed. I like your plan, I may imitate.

Way late as well, but this song brings back some altered headphone memories from the WayBack Machine!

cool... i just read the wiki entry for both the band 801 and listen now. interesting that the name, 801, comes from a lyric off another of my fav Eno albums, Taking Tiger Mountain the song "The True Wheel" begins with this lyric.... "We are the 801, we are the central shaft".

Dude, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois were easily my favorite producers for a decade. Eno, himself, is a mastermind for ambience alone.
