This combination is simply killer. Volume dimed, master to taste, EQ all set to 1:00, Cut at 11:00, Reverb at 9:00, Les Paul Traditional with Classic 57's strung with NYXL 11-49's, picked with a Blue Chip 80... damn!!! This amp continues to surprise me after almost a year after un boxing it.

I'd love to see a short video. I'd love to buy a LP sometime soon.

Just plugged mine straight into the MAZ 8 after reading this and must concur. I usually prefer that amp with single coils but a beefy LP is a nice change of pace!

And I did plugged my 6118T into my Maz 8, which was on sale, after reading this. And then I jumped onto the internet to cancel any sale of this amazing edgy crunchy machine. What the hell was I thinking in the first place?

I had to back off the bass to about 10:00. The creamback seems to be a bit boomy above 11:00 or so. I used Triode Mode w/BL on 2, M vol. at 11:00. Had the guitar volume at about 6 or 7. Ian, do you still have the stock JJ tube in v1 ?

I forget to turn the foot switch off pretty often. All the controls are very well calibrated. Sometimes I just set all the knobs to 12:00, and let her rip. Sounds awesome.

I once thought my MAZ 18 was due for new tubes because it didn't clean up at all. Had left the EQ bypass on and it took me an embarrassing 20 minutes or so to figure it out.

I think everyone that has used a Wah pedal has done that. Usually it only takes one time to learn. I'm sure you won't ever do it again.

Along these lines (Humbucking Gibsons), I normally play out with Teles (easier to swat the drunks off stage) but tonight I took my Es-333 and ran it through the Maz 8 with just a bit of compression, it was a heavenly tone. I had been thinking about selling it to fund a Cure purchase, but I think I will have to find another way to raise some cash.

I've said it before... those MAZs have made me re-discover many a guitar. I thought about slimming down the collection a lot a few years ago and actually planned to get back some of the money spent on my first Z by selling a guitar or two. But I just love how each and every one of them sounds through those amps.
