Folks Aside from the cosmetic differences between the older EZG 50 and the newer version. Is there any major internal differences that would change the sonic qualities of the amp making one better (for lack of a better term) than the other?
I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a used one that's the older version every thing looks great about it, but was wondering the above.
Thanks in advance for any insight you guys can provide.

Older model tended to have a little more bass. This was adjusted at some point (can't remember the serial numbers where the new versions started) with a bass response mod.
I'd say that's it.

Prior to (2012??) a lot more bass. They changed a few components and the newer ones I played were much more balanced. Not sure if there were any other internal changes. I preferred the looks of the oval front myself but I understand the reason for the cosmetic change.

Thanks for the responses guys.
So was the bass bad? Was it to full or muddy? Did it take away from the other aspects of the amp?

To me, the bass was overpowering, even on zero.

I don't have any experience with EZGs yet, so I'm just adding this in there, but if you buy the old one you can get the bass mod done on it. I just traded for one and it's getting modded even before it comes to me. Can't wait
