Joel I've been thinking about this and not doing it for over a year 'cause my originals are still giving me the goods. I know Antique Electronic supply still lists the GT-6L6-GE at around 50.00 for the matched pair.

Decided to go with the GT-6L6 based on price, past experience and past advice from Dr Z Amps .... still deciding about the 12AX7s - not sure if I will go with Tung Sol, JJ or EH ..... rectifier will most likely be NOS - woulda loved to do NOS for all, but not sure my ears are as fine-tuned to tubes as I would like cheers always, Joel

I'll have to check my preamp tubes. I think my inverter is the Mullard version of the Sovtek 12ax7lps. V1 is TungSol and V2 is either one of the original Ruby (sino) or similar GT version. I use a RCA 5U4. The GT-6L6GE outputs have been in there since 10/31/2007. That's Reformation day or Halloween depending on one's point of view! Anyway you cut it that's gettin' some mileage on the glass, although I have to add I don't feel the need to crank the daylights out of it to be happy. You know when you've had something for years with no need to fiddle with it, and you hear the tone that makes you grin, it becomes all about the playing.

Well, this is a new to me 210 combo ..... not my first trip with a Galaxie ...... but I do believe this has had some strong wear and tear prior to me 😎😉

Received some new GT-6L6GE output tubes and a Sovtek 12AX7-LPS driver for Christmas. Been looking for to long so I'm glad the decision was made. That's what's in amp now, and the new problem is if I should put these new ones in right away since the amp sounds so good with the old tubes. Dumb eh?

Packed up the old output tubes and put in the new GT-6L6GE set. Used a little Deoxit on the sockets. Biased for the pair right around 27 or 28.5ma Very happy! Happy there was little change, just a bit more of the goodness. My opinion is that the standard bias setting maintains the space between notes better. There is just nothing not to like about this amp! Also picked up an eminence TF-1250 Tomo signature speaker that it loves.
