So, I am now on my 6th Dr. Z amp. I've really enjoyed each of the amps I've owned, and they have all had the phenomenal build quality and tone we have come to know and love.
Many of the amps have been trades, and not wanting to miss out on a good deal or try out some new gear, I've flipped amps more than I probably should have (or my wife thinks I should have, considering I don't play out anymore).
Well, came home with my "new" M12 1x12 combo last night, and it's my first blonde Z, and the lowest wattage Z I have owned. I really enjoyed putting it through a quick test run last night...chime, bloom, and all at a VERY manageable volume!
The best part was when the wife came home with our daughter - she not only thought the blonde tolex looked "cool", but that she thought the amp sounded great, and was impressed by how "clean" it sounded. Coming from a woman who could care less about guitar amps, I think that is a pretty nice compliment to Doc and his design :-)

My wife usually doesn't give my gear a second look, so you are lucky!

My wife usually doesn't give my gear a second look, so you are lucky! Mine only kinda gives a half-assed eye roll anymore, and goes back to her facebook....
Congrats on the new killer amp, Brother!

My wife actually knows a good bit these days gear wise. She actually does not mind hearing all the details of stuff. I do have too many amps I think...at times.
Congrats on the M12. Have fun with it.

Love the sound with the knobs past noon on this amp (on both the hi and lo settings), but I can't seem to shake the EF86 rattle. The amp came with (3) NOS Svetlana tubes, and they all rattle. Are the Svetlana EF86's really that bad?
The rattle does settle down if I grasp the tube with my hand, so I'm going to my to try some heat shrink tubing and see if that helps.
Otherwise, impressed...and the 12" Greenback sounds surprisingly nice!

I got the coolest wife ever. She never complains when I buy new amps or gear. Congrats on the new amp!
