Had my first gig with my recently converted combo, that is now a head and 1x12 Z-cab. Have I said lately how much I LOVE the Stingray?!?! While the combo was "open" and had an "airy" quality to it, the open-back 1x12 Z cab has a tight, focused punch to it (same speaker) and an added, stronger low end. It still sounds like a Stingray, but feels slightly different..... I can now honestly say that I like the Ray in a head/cab configuration much better than a combo. Oh, and it's still up-side down.... New, correct, faceplate is headed my way!

How did you score a new faceplate? I like head and cabs...but combos are so easy to carry....but every time I own a combo I always get frustrated at the way it seems to beat up the tubes.
