They're all reasonably close but I still like the creamback 65 M the best. Good thing, it's what I own.

This is what the video/comparison guy says on the YouTube caption:
Published on Aug 12, 2016 "Here is my short shootout of theese three speakers. All settings are kept the same except the speakers. Switching back and forth between mics and the room (smartphone mic)."
The AlNiCo Cream sounds best in this comparison to my ears, followed closely by the Creamback M. I have both and like both. I am however drawn to AlNiCo speakers in general due to the softer attack and enhanced sweetness.
The Neo comes in a disappointing 3rd place. Sounded congested and has some weird overtones going on......in this recording, that is. However, the other two sound similar to the way I perceive them in real life.

Doesn't seem like anyone around here is the least bit interested in the Neo Creamback. The Neo Creamback kinda sounded like a hot mess to me Mark. I agree with you, Alnico on top followed ever-so-closely by G12M65....

I have to concur with the majority here. I think Neo works for bass, maybe not so much for guitar. Having said that, I must admit we all here things differently. To me the analogy would be the Mics in the case of the Neo are wearing a condom. As for the original creamback, it seems to be an ever so slightly attenuated Alnico Cream.

I forgot about this thread. I searched for Celestion Neo and found it.
In the video the Neo didn't sound as good as the AlNiCo or M....but in real life, they sound great! I just got a cab loaded with 4 Neo's. The weight factor alone is worth the close difference in tone. They just sound like great Celestion speakers here. Looking forward to more time with them.

The fundamental premise of the experiment is flawed. All it shows is that the three speakers behave differently with the same amp; Surprise!

I had a Creamback NEO. Took it out on a run w my Ghia. I sold it as soon as I came home. I really like the Eminence NEOs (Tonkerlite and Lil' Texas) but this one was not for me.

This is an opinion from a guy who has an opportunity to to hear A LOT of speakers. He has recommended the Eminence NEO's several times. I tend to respect his opinion more than YT demos.

+1 for the Lil Texas Neo. I have one in my Cure and one in a Mesa 1-12 cab.

Eric....can you please explain what you didn't like about the Creamback NEO? I have not tried 1 in a small combo. Only the 4 at one time in a 4x12 cab and it sounds pretty killer. Not sure if it's because there are FOUR at once....OR that it weighs 43 lbs!

Compared to the other single 12” speakers I have used in my open backed Ghia combo the Creamback Neo lost the bottom and just didn’t have the “response” I was used to getting from the amp.
Might have sounded different in a closed back cabinet?

Thanks for that Eric~ There is plenty of bottom with 4!
That would have been an issue for me too.

They're all reasonably close but I still like the creamback 65 M the best. Good thing, it's what I own. I have also had great results with the Creamback 65M as well. I also like the anlico cream too. But still I think I would take the 65M over the Alnico cream. It has more character. It cuts through better too.

I have owned the Creamback M a few times and currently have an Alnico Cream and a Neo Creamback. I am a big fan of the Neo in my Maz18 112 combo. It’s warm, smooth and has those great mids associated to the Creamback name. It’s also less efficient and was a dramatic improvement over the stock G12H30. I like my Alnico Cream a lot but miss the bottom end punch of a ceramic speaker when it’s used on its own. Right now the Cream is residing in my Jaz 20/40 and it sounds good but I’m not certain it’s the best fit.
