Binge watched season 1 the past few days,It's an eighties horror/Spielberg movie homage that rises above imitation with an excellent cast.I won't discuss plot points in case anyone wants to watch, but I will say I like Eleven as much as Arya Stark,as you can see from my new avatar.I also liked the accurate depiction of some aspects of the show-the poorer people live in rundown houses, even the nice houses are average split levels-It always irritates me when average middle class people in fiction live in a beautiful old home in mint condition. Also, everyone working class smokes and drinks heavily-like most people I know. And in one scene the sherriff flips his cigarette butt-but makes sure it lands on the pavement, not in a pile of dead dry leaves-like someone who really lived there would do.

The girl who plays Eleven is quite the actress. I enjoyed the first season and look forward to more.

Watched it all last week. Definitely a binge series. I like science fiction, and this one was above average. I suppose I should really call it science fiction/horror. Won't go beyond that and spoil any surprises.
Eleven rocks!

Is it something for 11 year old girls? Or is it more adult? (I'm wondering if my grand daughter would like it?)

Thanks....I watched the trailer...but it doesn't really tell you age appropriateness.

There's a small amount of sex with no nudity, some language, that's a no right there.Plus I think the monsters and violence might be too scary/intense for someone that young.Maybe in 2-3 years when season 3 comes out she can catch up.

It likely would be PG-13 if rated by the MPAA or whoever does such ratings these days.
