well, i got a pair from Perry with the highest headroom (and a pair of the earliest) and put it in the monza, now, to be fair, i am using an eminence neo lightweight spkr that may not be broken in yet. i have tried jj's and even some nos bugle boys a friend gave me, looking for the best headroom and these are IT. with the drive barely on and the master dimed, tone at noon, and volume about 9 oclock, the amp is way loud of course, but super clean, very satisfying. well worth it. and as the Doc has said, they will last a long time. using a tele, but i am going to try a les paul and try to post a clip. i only have one Z el84 amp now, except for the Mini, so i am set for power tubes. i would love to hear someone that has tried these in other amps.. they are just G reat!

I love mine Jimmy. I picked up 2, one low gain and one high gain, for my Maz 8. The high gain sounds incredible with this amp (w/Creamback) with no pedals and my ASAT Classic and Legacy. I can only image what Perry's tubes would sound like in a Maz 18,38, or any other EL84 powered amp.

well, i put one of the early breakup 6n14n tubes in the Mini, replaced a jj, left the nos 5751 in there.. i was really happy with the clarity and the quiet tone it gives,, really not much comparison, the jj was very harsh, noisy,,made me want to order two more sets for down the road,, now i dont want to get greedy, but when you do the math its not too much more, and if these have the long life that they are said to have, its a no brainer.. i think i will.

no dis-respect or sarcasim intended at all, but if you want as much clean headroom as you can, why are you playing through a Monza?

I thought my recently acquired 2001 MAZ 18 Jr sounded pretty good with the GT(Sovtek) EL84M's that were in the amp when I bought it, but decided to try a pair of low power 6n14n tubes from Perry.
WOW - call me happy camper. The improvement in the tone and definition is huge.
I just sent Perry a check for another pair. If I waited until the installed set started to sound weak, there might not be any more "genuine" 6n14n available at a reasonable price.
Can you imagine how fast the supply would dry up if all the Vox AC-15 and AC-30 amp owners learned how great these tubes are.
When the price per tube hits $50, there will probably be counterfeits.

I like these tubes a lot in my MAZ Jr., fantastic tone and feel. I just ordered a small stash of matched pairs that should get me into my 70s with my MAZ! I don't like going with the greedy hording ways but good el84s are hard to come by it seems.

no dis-respect or sarcasim intended at all, but if you want as much clean headroom as you can, why are you playing through a Monza? none taken i like to have clean headroom in all the amps i play, cause i know they will do dirty.. its a combination of speaker, tubes guitar and amp. my check book right now will not afford an ezg50or a new z,,,i kinda trade around a few,,. i have owned one of the those. i have had 4 carmen ghias and i am on my second monza.a route 66, z28 4/10 remedy, rx, rxjr, there is no ryhme nor reason to my amp tweaking. i can dime the monza anytime,,but not all of them will do this:
