Just wondering how you are liking them ? Anybody swapping them out for something else?

I bought a set for my Maz 38 and they are really good. First tubes that don't rattle in that amp.

I bought a set for my Maz 38 and they are really good. First tubes that don't rattle in that amp. YES! That's a BIG plus! I recently purchased a MAZ 18NR combo Studio & these tubes came in it stock with dampeners. I agree the EL 84's sound pretty good. However, I have a bunch of matched pairs of NOS EL 84's lying around like Amperex Bugle Boy's , Telefunken's from the 50's, Tungstrom's, etc. I'm afraid to experiment with other tubes just because the stock Russian tubes don't rattle! (& sound pretty good). I think I'll save the NOS's for backup and leave well enough alone.....

Are EL84M tubes the same tube as the 6n14n? I see them marketed as Sovtek and Groove Tubes. My newly acquired 2001 MAZ Jr has the Grove Tubes EL84M's and it sounds great to me.
