So yesterday GC had a 10% off used gear sale - including marked down items. I had seen photos of the 4x10 combo and absolutely LOVED the rock n roll look / idea of 10's with the amp. Traded my z28 head + 2x12 avatar cab for it. Should be here Wednesday.
Who here has one of those?

Got a hand truck? I know they sound great but it is a heavy combo. Enjoy it though!

Pretty sure Jaguarguy (Mike) has one of these. It's a tone monster!

Is that the combo that was at the Chicago store? I kept wanting to go into the city, fane interest and at least try it. Enjoy. Sounds like you picked it up at a good price.

Yeah it's still on the guitar center site. Got it for $1100 and change. To me it seems like a great deal. If anyone's near northeastern PA, you're welcome to come jam on it!

I have a 2-10 combo and a 2-10 extension cab. Almost the same, but a 45 pound and 25 pound load instead of 70 in one hoist! I rarely use the extension cab with the '28, but it sounds great when I do. Four Z-10's really move some air! Enjoy the new beast.

Killer amp! Compared to the 2x12 setup it feels tighter, richer and certainly bigger. The open back cab really fills the room! Love it.

That looks "Majestic". Ive always loved the gold faceplate. And re 4x10's, i believe that is why Jimmy Herring goes 4x10's instead of 2x12's. Enjoy! Put some Aleve in your gig bag as well?

Haha it's not as heavy as I thought but it certainly is not light. Will definitely be in pain slugging it around on tour.

Congrats - I almost pulled the trigger on that one just because it is so cool looking! Definitely an early Z-28 - #15 if I recall right.
