The last thing I need is another dirt pedal but I just bought a Z-Drive off the BST. I'll be really interested to see how it compares to my Tim.

Let those of us that haven't got one know what you think of it when you get a chance. Thanks.

Never had a Tim, however I've had a few Timmy's. I much prefer the versatility of the Z-Drive. The green channel will leave the Tim wanting, IMHO YMMV.

Looking forward to your impressions. The eq shaping is a strong point in my book.

What I've heard of the green side in demos has impressed me. I'm really just questioning whether the red side is going to work for me. The only way to find out buy one.

I struggled with the red channel as well. When I had the EQ dialed up for the red side, it totally killed the mojo of the green side. The red side would be perfect if it had a tad more compression and an independent EQ. If the green channel ever came out as a stand alone pedal, I'd buy it, no doubt. Love me some germanium overdrives...

I like the fact that I can be happy with both sides. The red side can get wooly almost fuzzy, but that's what I like about it. Very tube like, very anti tube screamer.

I get the same thing out of the red side, that's what i like about it too-I actually took my fuzz off the board.I have the green set fairly clean, for a slight dirt push, and the red about halfway up on the gain.
