Right now, I've got a Barber Direct Drive, Full-Drive 2, MXR Phase 90 (soon to be replaced with a trem of some sort) and a Boss DD-3 Digital Delay. Ernie Ball VP Jr Volume pedal and Boss Pedal Tuner. All powered by a Dunlop/MXR DC Brick.
I use the Full-Drive 2 for lower gain/OD sounds and the Barber for high gain/OD sounds. For over the top stuff I'll use both....

I'm seriously considering picking up a Dual Drive for my MAZ Jr and to use with my Rt 66, which takes pedals even better. I really like my MAZ without pedals the best though.

What is it about your Dual Drive and the MAZ that makes it the shizzle?

Don't overlook the Z.Vex Super Hard On. First post...please don't hurt me... Gotta echo the SHO rec. Love the Maz without it, but it definitely ices a tasty cake. OD-wise I've got two Hot Cakes, one regular, one Bluesberry edition. The Bluesberry gives me a little edge, the regular gives me a little crunch, the two together are insane. I've got a Fulltone OCD and Barber DD SS, too, but the Hot Cakes seem like a better match to my ears. Compression-wise, I've got a Keeley Compressor, an AnalogMan BiComp, and a Demeter Compulator. The Keeley and the AnalogMan are OK, but the Demeter is the one I've ended up using exclusively -- a little smoother and more musical, methinks. Oh, and whenever I miss having reverb I dial in a short, mixed-toward-dry delay on a SPF I-5 delay.

I LOVE the tone of my new (Used) Maz 18 Jr. It's a 210 NR with a loop, that originally came from FAT Sound out in NC. Now I want some info on what pedals you guys use. I like the straight tone really well, and I run the master on '10' and the pre at 2 0:clock and use the guitars volume to clean the tone up when I need it. I need a medium and a heavy drive pedal, and also a decent delay pedal. I don't want digital stuff because it takes away from the natural drivey tone. I tried a DG stomp and a Quadraverb in the loop, but the loop is a series-one, so....No thanks. Any and all comments appreciated, MH I have used quite a few different ODs and high gain pedals into my Maz 18 Jr NR head (into Jenkins H61 cab with G12H30s), but IMO, the 2003 FD2 sounds best...easily rivaling the high gain tones on amps like the Hot Cat 30R (see photo). I set the amp as follows: Volume: 12:00 Treble: 10:30 Mid: 1:30 Bass: 10:00 Cut: MAX Master Volume: As loud as venue permits Set the FD2 for a volume boost for soloing and it'll overdrive the amp a little and the distortion from the amp and pedal will blend and sound incredible.
