is this hard? from what i can tell, it appears that the control layout is reversed to allow the tubes to be upright in the head rather than downward in the combo... i suspect i could top-mount the chassis inside a head cab to alleviate this.
any recs for cab builders?

Shouldn't be all that difficult - you might find that the reverse side of the faceplate might be the combo version. Doc did that on some of his amps. If not, he may have one you can purchase - check with Don in the repair shop there.

Hello 62stratdoc, I'm currently wanting to do the same thing but instead going from a head/cab to a combo. If you are still wanting to do this I'd be willing to work a deal out if you wanted to maybe trade cabs and faceplates. Mines Red with ZWreck cloth. Perfect condition.
