Is it just me or are the Therapy's mids like no other? Bell like sustaining secrete weapon! If I'm strictly playing lead (fill ins and breaks) I actually like my mids around 3 o'clock. This is unheard of for any amp I've owned. Matter of fact, I've always hated too much of the mid thing because all it did way muddy up my business. New therapy owners: don't be scared of mids...that's where the Therapy is at home.

Try turning the treble all the way down and just use bass and mids with the volume up some and MV to taste you get into Monza territory...minus the sweet compression of the EL84's. More burly than Monza but not quite as awesome a fuzz tone as Monza. Here is my effort with it. .

I love my mid control all the way up - unreal tones! With the bass low and the mids and treble higher you can get some chimey Vox like sounds....the amp can really swing around with the wide range of adjustment available with the Bass, Middle , and Treble. Having not owned a MAZ jr. but always hearing how versitle they are...I've kinda thought this is the more American flavor of that. Even though it has plenty of Britain as well...just tube wise a more American flavor.

I just got home from work and dialed these settings up and will give them a go tomorrow morning when I can unleash this type of volume with the family out of the house. Getting back to topic I completely agree with what Shane had to say about the Therapy having amazing mids. I enjoy the many flavors that single knob can attribute to the overall tone.
