That's a cool sounding base tone on its own! It's a tad dirty to begin with. Sounds soooooo nice!

Haven't seen that demo, now I'm sorry I did. Freakin' Zito w/ that seamless & flawless hybrid picking. Hate that guy. Amazing tones he gets w/ that 'simple' set up. Now I have to go practice.

Mike is a monster player and a great singer too. I have quite a few songs of his on regular rotation. He was also in the first version Royal Southern Brotherhood.

An outstanding demo, and almost a Les Paul neck pickup lead guitar tone @ 5:17 out of the tele, nice !

The Z Drive is on my want to buy list for sure....that was a great demo. His fretting fingers look clumsy and plodding but his playing is so seamless it's almost an optical illusion to me. It just seems that the notes are coming out way faster than his fingers are moving.
Either way it sounded great

I've watched this a few times now & I laugh every time @ 1:37 when he says "you could run the amp cleaner... but what's the point of that?" Yeah crank that sucker!

Wow, what a player. Sometimes I hear tones like that being wrung out of a guitar and I wonder why I even bother.
Time to woodshed...'nuff said.

Man, that Sr. with that Telecaster sure sounds authoritative in Mike's hands. Cool demo.

What everyone has said.....but I also would have liked to hear the pedal through the amp set for a cleaner tone. He shows you can use the Z-Drive to goose an amp already breaking up somewhat, and yes it sounds good, but so do a host of other overdrives in that situation. So what about if the Z-Drive is your main source of overdrive?

"you could run the amp cleaner... but what's the point of that?" My philosophy in life right there! I used to run my Maz18 with the Volume (drive) cranked - the only way to fly, baby!
