I know there are two honkin transformers a choke and 5 tubes at work in my Therapy. I put my hand against the front of the chassis where the controls are and it did feel warm, not hot but warm. Someone please tell me this is totally normal! The chassis is acting as a heat sink!

Perfectly normal. That's part of the chassis job, dissipate heat from the components. 6L6s generate a lot of heat.

Thank You gentlemen, the rectifier tube is glowing heavy!

How much or little a tube glows is rarely an indication of how the tube is performing unless you see the plates glowing red. That usually only happens on power tubes. With a rectifier unless you see the red plating or fireworks going on inside of it. I wouldn't worry. Now stop looking at the back of your amp and play it from the front. But don't look at the controls when you set them, use your ears. Okay, don't look at the amp at all, just play it.

Ok headshrinker, open back or closed back on a 1-12" Dr. Z cab?

Tough call. I don't have a Z 12 cab but I've been running it through a closed back cab with a Texas Heat in it and really like it. Also have used a closed back with a creamback and liked it too. Different, not better or worse. Lately I've been using closed back cabs for that extra thunk in the low end. I did run it through the combo cab of my Maz which has two Z 10s in it and it had a lot of growl, very nice also. I might add that I have put a pair of JJ 6V6s in as power tubes and may like it better that way than with the 6L6s. A bit less bass, but still a good amount since they are JJ 6V6s, and more sparkle on the top end and more mids. They breakup earlier too if that's what you are looking for. Tried EL 34s in it too but it wasn't for me. One of the nice things about the Therapy is you can use other octal tubes in it and don't have to rebias.

I run my 1x12 Z cab open with the Therapy. Because it has a good amount of bass and plenty kids for me. But it is also great with a Zbest!

I run my 1x12 open...I've never really used closed back cabs as a usual thing, all though I did run my Z cab closed for a while, but I'm just use to open back. My Z cab has a 4ohm Canabis Rex in it. Had my Therapy around a year and love it more every time I play. I hope to try some other power tubes like some of the other fellas soon...JJ 6V6, EL34 and KT77 are on my try list.
