I kept tryna switch from the slide to fingers for that last lick and it jes' wouldn't happen. You can tell I was a little PO'ed about it ;^)Plus the amp was all the way up and that P90 was hummin' like a you-know-what. This is one of the tunes from the upcoming Dr Wu' #5.

Sounds great--I admire anybody who make a slide sound good. I've gotten to the point where I can get a decent slide tone for a moment or two here or there, but it's inconsistent and my intonation still stinks. Practice practice!
Awesome backing track, too.

HA My 'practice spot' is so fulla JUNK I can't get in there with it Dan! I was at Dr Wu' HQ. We are only two tunes into the latest adventure, which will be Volume 5. Bryan and Jim, the songwriting collective that has come to be known as Dr Wu' are to be commended for hiring a buncha out-of-work itinerant tubwhackers and stringbenders during the s-l-o-w part of the year to play on their tunes before all the gigs get cranked back up so we can keep the lights on!

...are to be commended for hiring a buncha out-of-work itinerant tubwhackers and stringbenders during the s-l-o-w part of the year Yes, the 1st quarter of the year is the slow time. People hide from the cold. I mean this weekend in Dallas, the high might not even reach 70 degrees! You'll have to put on a "Texas Parka"...also known as a 'long sleeve shirt'! (ha ha) The high around here for Saturday is going to be 15 degrees. Now THERE'S a reason to hide from the cold. (And I'm sure there are some of our Canadian friends here that would chuckle at my '15 degree high' comment.)

Purty nice out there today, John! Almost spring-like. We usually have a week or two of sleet and snow, black ice on the roads in Feb, but so far it's a no-show. I have two gigs in the wilds of Arkansas comin' up the 26th and 27th, hope our good meteorological luck holds.

More Ghia Hijinx last weekend in Little Rock. Ghia head thru a Celestion 12 in a little Marshall 15 watter.Hadda use the Marshall the next night, small room and Ghia was too loud! Mouse is playing thru his Marshall 15, we use 'em once in a while when we can't fire 'em up too hot. All the intro stuff was real off the cuff and unrehearsed (like ya can't tell ;^) I guess I'll play Zep covers forever.

I always figgered Percy and Pagey to be 'Vitamin C' kinda guys. With a Jack Daniel's back and a Marlboro.

You get my vote. First thing that came to my mind was that not only is it hard to sing, sing well, but then sing and play at the same time! Page just played well. You're doin' all three. Enjoyed it Buddy.
