I'm doing a gig this Friday and want to try my gold loaded combo with my ES-345. Anyone have any feedback? Playing classic rock, bluez, and country for this gig. Should I take my trusty strat just in case?

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and a Gibson ES-345 works pretty good with the Stang Ray. I moved the cut up a bit to about 10 o'clock, Tone about 2 o'clock and Volume around 2. I did the whole gig without pedals by using the "Vari-tone" switch for my lead/rthm work. The volume control on the guitar also worked but the switch was more handy. I do think I'll keep my Strat.
