My sister gave me a Hollies compilation over the holidays, and the song "On A Carousel" stood out to me-I felt I had heard the lead guitar tone before.Racking my brain and ears located the song "Circles" by a mid sixties British band called The Fleur de Lys,which is on the excellent Nuggets 2 box set. So,same city, same year,I figure it has to be the same guy using the same rig.Although the lead is much more prominent on Circles(which is a Who cover btw) both songs have the same nasal, playing up by the neck feel to them. So while looking around the internet,I discovered Jimmy Page co produced the Circles 45 with Glyn Johns, and also did session work that year with the Hollies,So I am picturing Page with his Danelectro and Supro doing these 2 sessions.Could be true.

I love mid sixties (62-67)garage-psych-beat music.Of all the many varieties of rock and roll that I like it's always in the top 3.
PS-the internet has told me that's definitely Page on the fleur de lys track.
