Trying to learn Logic Pro X here, coupled with a new input mixer (Apogee Quartet) so I figured I'd grab a backing track and lay down some guitar. Holy crud - I am rusty, my timing is off, and I can't hear squat. So let the listener beware. There ARE clams in here, certainly. I had the TSB engaged for this, so the tone controls don't really matter except to say the midrange was dimed. Preamp at 2 o'clock, power amp at 2 o'clock, 20 watt setting, no attenuation. Guitar wide open on the bridge pup. FYI it sounds a lot better through headphones than it does through PC speakers. My guitar comes in at measure 4 after the canned guitar intro. Logic Pro is bizarre - you don't export audio, you "bounce" it. Wait - what? That's why this is entitled: Learn-this

Wow, awesome tones! That's killer. Makes me want to try this amp, and also to try cranking my Z28 way up as well. OK actually this just confirms that I want to get a Les Paul. HAHAHA.
Anyway, very nice tones!

Great playing and tone there Steve. Rusty?.... You're playing better than me on my best day. Interesting thing to my ear is that the amp had a more British flavor than I expected. I know the Les Paul contributes to that , but that had more bark than what I've been hearing out there - which I really like. Thanks for this Steve.

I know the Les Paul contributes to that , but that had more bark than what I've been hearing out there - which I really like. Thanks for this Steve. You know, this is one of the reasons I immediately jumped on this amp. A few years back I happened to hear my old band with a different guitarist, and he was getting that type of tone in spades. I expected to see a small Marshall or derivative up on stage there, but was shocked to see he was playing straight into a Deluxe Reverb. His guitar was an old Les Paul with P-90's on it, and I've never forgotten that. But have you priced any of those 50 year old Deluxes lately? Yikes! So when I started seeing comparisons to the Deluxe I started thinking I had to have one of these. Why it took me this long to try the Les Paul I can't say - the Strat was so enchanting I guess. But THIS is that tone I heard that night. Being able to get this kind of tone, but also dial back and get those fat Strat tones with one amp is very exciting.

Well, I'm just a caveman when it comes to things like this....but I would have likely never thought of plugging a LP into a Z-Lux. I figured for sure I wouldn't 'like it' as much as single coils. That....sounds....wonderful. Lesson learned

Wow! That sounded incredibly good through my crummy little computer speakers. Great tone ! Darn nice licks too. I'd love to hear you when you feel your playing isn't "rusty".
