After reading these threads over again and listening to the sound clips from various forum members, I just got really excited about the Stang Ray I have on order. It'll be 4 weeks today, so I should be about halfway through the waiting game. And I thought I was excited waiting on my other Z amps. There's just something about that Ray that has me on the edge of my seat.

To help add to your anticipation , here's a pic from last weekend of me and Rockstok...a STING and STANG Ray on one stage! Can't tell from the picture but there was a lot of sound going on in that small room. Very good sound I might add! Hope you find your new Ray as enjoyable as the rest of us.

I'm sure I will Madison. I've never gotten this worked up over an amp before. My Ghia and MAZ Jr. are fantastic amps, but there's just something magical about the Ray.

Hey Madison, I just stumbled on the pic of the Two-Ray jam. Hah! Notice how I cleverly let the Z show through between the knees. Pretty cool setup one in blond and one in black. We need someone who has a red one to join the fun.

quik question - where did you set your volume knob at, for such a small room?

Hey, mine's gonna be red with blonde face plate. Now all I gotta do is get down to Richmond area to jam. It'll be the StangRay trifecta.

quik question - where did you set your volume knob at, for such a small room? I remember Rockstok looked over before we began to see where my volume was...he laughed when he saw it was way up at 1:00. I had my compressor vol rolled down to 9:00 though...equal to about 9:00 plugged straight in. Still, we were darn loud...not painfully so....but definitely had the country ROCK thing going on. Curt, Spring's around the corner....just stap yer better half on the Harley and head east. We gotcha covered with a couple of RxES's and Tele's Aj, we'll leave a slot open for your red Ray at the next jam! Be sure to practice your wide stance pose, so as to show off the Z logo during picture taking (see above) ;D
