I was wondering if anyone has tried the Z drive with a Maz 18? If so let us know what you thought.

I've used mine with my now sold Maz 38 NR and my currently owned Maz 18 NR.
I set the Maz up right at the edge of break up, I then dial in the green side of the Z Drive for a little hair and the red side for full on overdrive. I then use the EQ bypass switch for solo boosts when I'm already on the red side. It's like having a 4 channel amp pretty much.
I sold my BB Preamp and my TC Spark Booster once I got the Z Drive.

If you search through the early posts when the pedal came out there was an excellent demo with a Maz 18 and a Les Paul.

ZDrive sounds like it's an extension of the Maz 18. Two more channels in fact.

I loved the Z drive so much I bought a 2nd one. This pedal sounds great with every amp I own.(even makes my Fender Blues Jr. crank!) The thing about this pedal with my Maz 18 I've found is keep your Maz settings as is...make your adjustments to the pedal. I think it's a very transparent drive...and works best as an extension to your amps sound. I could have replaced my JHS Angry Charlie(brown sound), and Timmy with the Z drive but it sounds great with them for solos. I also have a RYRA Klon Klone pedal for leads or as an always on pedal. Hope all this helps.
