Anybody have any info on the forthcoming Stang Ray (or RxES) 1x12 combo? Anyone willing to speculate? Which speakers? (I guess a single Blue is out) Size? Will it use an existing model's cab? Availability? ETA? Gotta get one. How much do I have to save or sell?

Only the doc knows for sure, but I'd guess: Celestion Gold speaker, standard combo 1x12 cab, Rich Music will have each in stock, cost around 2k. The biggest attraction for me would be a quick load in/out package. I'd like to see them in two-tone as well, in fact I'd be interested in black/black at this point....that'd look bad a** ;D

I have a stingray 1x12 hunter, yours is a special order one...I think there is a harmony central review on the one you now own. Doc quietly mentioned last week about maybe doing a production run of the 'Ray and ES in a 1x12 combo. Maybe you already know all this, I apologize if I'm just regurgitating old info!

Mine was special ordered. I'm trying to get picture up. I use a 50 watt bluedog and a beam blocker. This has become my main amp, even over my 63 AC30. In my humble opinon, weber's speakers are not as efficient (or at least the models I have owned) as the celestions. This helps with the stingray so you can actually turn the amp up.

That's one sweet prototype hunter. Assuming the production model with look like yours I'm curious if it will fit on my square 1x12 or would be the width of the newer ext cabs? My sentiments exactly on he Webers' efficiency. It's great to rock out with Celestions but for staying employed in clubs around here I'd go with the Weber. You can always add another cab with a V30.
I'll let you get the black Madison and I'll wait for the blond. ETA?

All I know is I'll be in line for one. Now I've just got to decide which, the RxES or the Ray. Decisions, decisions.....

T I'm curious if it will fit on my square 1x12 or would be the width of the newer ext cabs? I'm quite sure it will not fit rockstok...you would have to pick up a newer style rectangular shaped Z cab to sit under the combo. If it were me, I'd do the combo 1x12 (obviously), and stick a 2x10 cab underneath for the bigger gigs. My Stingray was amazing plugged into MG's Maz Jr's 2 tens. That is one huge sounding little cabinet.
