Like many others, I really dug the Therapy when it arrived. Then I sort of neglected it for a couple reasons. First, combo amps fit my gigs better. Second, I was spending more time fine tuning my main gig amps (Ghia 1x10, then Z-Lux combo). Lastly, the Therapy was a little "out of sight, out of mind" in the extremely cramped quarters of my music "room". A few weeks ago I decided to resume rotating through the Z arsenal. It was time for Therapy a couple days ago. Plugged it into the Z Best. Played a P90 guitar: nice indeed. Yesterday, plugged in my old EC Strat and tweaked the knobs. Ended up with Mid and Treble around noon, bass around 9 (small room and lotsa bass in the Z Best), had volume just over noon and kept Master low. Sure it sounds "better" up more on Master, but it was plenty loud at 9 o'clock and, once the ears re-set to the reduced sound pressure, it was lovely. Then I hit it with the Z Drive and some delay. Wow. This is a great amp

Played it once at Chicago Music Exchange. I was underwhelmed, but I struggled with a guitar I pulled off their wall. I'm thinking of letting the RT66 go in search of a different flavor. The Remedy catches my eye, but I think I may also revisit the Therapy. First things first the Rt66...to be or not to be.....in the mix.

You might also want to try the Antidote - has a bit moe Marshally goodness to it than the Therapy.

I think the Therapy puts the Route 66 in the shade in terms of versatility.
The 66 is the only Z amp I've ever sold of the six I've owned.

Every time I hear a clip of the Antidote I marvel. The bottom line is I wonder if I can fill those "big boy pants."

Wow. This is a great amp Therapy was my main amp for quite some time. But I needed to give the Ghia and my Carr some attention. The change was good and I enjoyed mixing it up. So for a few months the Therapy was on the back burner. However, last week I went back to Therapy. WOW, I fell in love all over again. I know there are many amps on the market but the MV on the Therapy HAS to be the best in the biz, just amazing. I seem to appreciate the Z-drive more this time around with the Therapy if that is possible. So, Carr goes on the market to hopefully help fund a Z-Lux. But the Therapy is back in the saddle!

I was wondering when you might come around again Mike. That Therapy must COOK with your EC Strat. Wish I could hear it. Hint, hint...

Funnily enough, I used to play nothing but my Therapy......but that's like saying I eat nothing but caviar!! I now only play my Therapy at full dress rehearsals and gigs - the rest of the time (home, low volume practices, different groups and bands with a gentler feel) I play other amps. I save my caviar for those most special occasions and so NEVER get tired of it, and am always utterly delighted by its incredible tone, versatility and sheer playability!! Very cool amp.........
