If your like me and play with your amp on top of your cab, tube rattle can occur at certain frequencies. This has nothing to do with a defect or quality control of the amp, just happens, and especially running a 2X12 cab with the bass sitting in at around 3 o'clock. Honestly it's nothing at all noticable in the band mix BUT when you throw your rig in a studio and with the right mic rattle may be present. I tried everything from bending the steel tube holders to tightening them down to the chassis a little better. I'm not even sure if it was the tube brackets but very sure it was the tubes.
When I lifted my amp up off the cab and it completely went away. The solution was to buy those little pads that go under furniture feet. Most are grey felt but I found some that are black, the same size as the bottom of Dr. Z's rubber feet and not at all noticable. Worked like a charm! Most of you could probably care less about a little tube rattle but I just had to get it stopped. Anyway, I'm sure I wasted lots of reading time for some lol, but maybe somebody else feels the same about the small minuscule things like tube rattle.

Yeah the ones I bought are the Magic Sliders #77922, in a purple box. They pop up right away in Google search.
These are the black ones and seem to be a rubber / felt blend. The largest size fit Z feet perfectly. Their called sliders but my amp doesn't slide around on the cab at all.
I think I'm gonna start getting these when I buy more Z amp heads because tubes these days do rattle when heated up. I've figured out that it has nothing to do with the amp. Took me a while to figure it out and finally had to turn my tone all the way down on the guitar for zero treble to track it down.
Eliminate the cab vibration...problem solved!

Wow, furniture pads to eliminate rattle and rubber door stops to tilt the amp - these are inexpensive ideas that fit in a gig bag. Thanks for the tip!

Lol! Yes John this Z thing is pretty addictive. I love the voicing Z amps but what I don't see much chatter about is the fact that they are beautiful to look at. I never set out to buy a Dr. Z amp because of looks but I have to say that they are a work of art. I'm the only one around using Z gear, unless I go to Houston or Dallas, and every musician I jam with say "wow" when I unload my rig. That's before I ever plug in.
