Well this has been an interesting day! Great start, the company took 36 employees to G-Force Go Karts out by the RIR Speedway today, and I somehow posted the 2nd fastest lap. Logged in under the name "Dr. Z", and could not believe when I read the said name at the top of the list at the end of the 2 hour slot! I guess a lot of luck, a darn solid kart, and some good Dr Z karma floating around the race track pushed me to the top. ;D
Got home early and then took the wife out for a horseback ride, something she LOVES to do. As we trotted along this set the stage for, "Hey honey, how 'bout you and I go out and hear Rockstok and his new Stangray tonight??". After a weak "Okay" on her part, I sent the horse to pasture, hit the shower, made a strong cup of coffee, and headed over to Enzo's Ristorante.
Rockstok had his brand spankin' new Stangray head, and his black/oxblood Z 1x12 Weber alnico 50w Weber blue dog cabinet. To sit in the audience and listen to this rig (along with Bill's excellent chops), was incredibly satisfying (along with the spaghetti)! Some of the most smooth, warm, tele tone I've heard yet. Stepping on an OD pedal (not sure which) for "Cold Shot" gave up such a cool warm & sustainy tone I almost had to get out of my chair and...but I managed to restrain myself so as not to embarrass my wife OR Bill R.
Keep on using the 'Ray, rockstok! I noticed your volume was only at 9:00. For the bigger venues, crank that baby up past noon and enjoy even bigger rewards. ;D Or better yet, bring along the RxES and an AB/Y box!
Sorry we had to cut out after only one set, but...you know the story.
