Hey Guys, Does anyone know if this foot switch will work with a Galaxie? I'd like to have one with a LED on it. I saw some youtube videos on how to install an LED on an existing footswitch. But I thought it would just be easier to buy one, if it will work. I've seen some foot switches that are universal, but they need a 9 volt battery to provide power for the light. I hate running batteries, so it would be better (for me) to receive power from the amp. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/P-H470-LED

I had the same issue with a couple of amps. My Laney L50H and my Remedy. The amps didn't send any voltage down the cable to light up the pedal when I turned it on. I ended up doing the 9 volt battery mod on two different foot switches. It was EASY to do and it works perfect. I have used the same battery for over 15 months and it is still going strong, and that is at least 50 live shows. I wouldn't worry about having to change the battery for one little LED because you won't do it more than once a year Right before I got my Remedy, just for fun, I ordered the parts and built a footswitch. I called it the LOUD Pedal. You step on it and the Remedy gets louder! It just turns the EQ bypass on or off.

Thanks Rockerfeller! I didn't realize the battery would last so long. Sounds like the way to go. I can handle changing a battery once a year or so.

Just make sure the light is off when you pack up!

Update: I bought a LED foot switch FSGEN1BL by payne-labs (out of El Paso). I've had it for a month now and it works well. The light comes on when on channel 2 (like the amp). Also, it's slightly smaller than the Z foot switch, so there's a little more room on the pedal board.
