I just got my Weber 50w blue dog in and a beam blocker in. The 1x12 Stingray sounds so much better now. Before, you could not stand in front of this thing on stage. It was throwing the highs way out front and the lows were left behind. Now it sounds super smooth and chimey. I had it @ 12 o'clock with the tone at 1 o'clock and the cut at about 10:30. I usually run the cut way down. Keep in mind that this is a 1x12. I am probably missing alot of the low end of a 2x12. Beam blockers really work!

I just got to work 5 nights straight with the weber blue/ beam blocker set up. Nothing but compliments. The ray is a strange beast. You have to manipulate the tone with your hands. It will pick up every little touch.

I having problems with that as well. It just gets too bright sometimes. I have a stang 212 with celestion blues. I have in 1 beam blocker but I was thinking about different speakers as well. Or maybe just put in the other beam blocker just to see what it does. I may like it. I don't know

I have been preaching the gospel of Beam Blockers for awhile now. I truly believe they are a worthy addition to ANY guitar cab, and I'm starting to wonder if they shouldn't come as stock on all guitar cabs. Such a cheap, efficient, way to improve sound. And no, I am not, and do not work for, WeberVST.

The 50 watt weber bluedog seems to be a bit more bluesy sounding to me. It doesn't seem to be as efficient as the Celestion. This is a good thing for me. I can turn the dial a little further w/o killing others with volume. I use to always get complaints about the volume of my stingray because it would throw the treble to far. Since I installed the bluedog and the blocker I've had no complaints.

hey I'm thinking about trying the blue dog in my stang and was looking at the wattage and dope and really don't know what I should get theres just too many options. can someone explain. also my celestion blues are 16 ohm and I kinda want to switch to 8 ohm since it seem like most speakers in most of the amps I've ever owned are 8 ohm and I could just switch and swap as I please more easily. I don't think I can put together a 16 ohm celestion blue with an 8ohm vintage 30 or maybe I can. please explain

As to your other questions, call Ted Weber and ask - he will take the time to explain. He's one of the good guys.
