I've got it on good authority that I should get mine (blonde head and matching 2 x 10 cab) in mid June! I've already got my Studio Slips and beam blockers. I'm gonna be movin' and groovin' soon!
Hey admin! About time to make the change to the titles. I guess Stang Ray is going to be officially 2 words. You da man!

kccheers: I ordered mine fom Mass Street. I think I can work around the sales tax.

Billy, you should be able to negate the tax, unless Mass Music is in the state you live in or maintains a office, PO box or something like that in your state, then you pay no tax for out of state purchases... There are some people who charge the tax when they should not, and pocket the extra $$.... No implication that Mass Music would, has or did that....

Yo Chris! Grant wrote that it should be in this week. I hope by Thursday so I can use it Thursday evening at the Zone Rosa concert. They call it a concert. They also think they're getting a jazz band! Would it be uncool to bring it to the store? I don't know how those guys feel about that kind of thing. If the store thing is fine when would be the best time? Talking about gas a friend of mine in California says at Costco it was $3.19 last weekend and Costco is quite a bit less than normal. Even at our local $2.68 that's a lot of money when you were driving 40 miles each way, every day.

Yeah, gas is still an issue, but I may end up with a Honda Fit here pretty soon. Bringing in the Stang after 6:00 is probably the best, or on a Saturday when we open.

There's a thread on here "The Fit Is Go" for some info. Car & Driver magazine said it was the best out of 6 or 7 cars in it's class and it got 36mpg for them, with a manual transmission.

I think I will be pretty upset if you get yours on Thursday Billyguitar. Unless of course I get mine as well!!! I hope this is on a first come first serve basis and none other. I know your going to post as soon as you get yours in so we will just have to see what the deal is with that. It's funny cause when I called the guitar store, they said that the amp should be in at any time but oddly enough they also informed me that there was another guy who had ordered a maz 38 in january that still had not received it. Very very strange to me, and what really stinks is my money is locked up in this store and they keep 500 bucks of it it I ask for my money back. Believe me I tried so hard when I say a Stingray for sell on harmony central about a month ago. I would have payed it to the seller and had an amp by now. And lets face it I'm a working musician not a weekend musician, whose style changes with the weather and I'm not even shure I will even like the vibe of this amp anymore. But I do hope this amp brings new life to my love of the jangle and like you I really hope it brings the jangle by Thursday.

If your dealer got your order in shortly after you placed it then I think ours would be in the same batch. If they delayed ordering that would be a different issue. It may also come down to them building combos or heads. I would think they would do those in batches as well so if they were working on heads first and yours was a combo then yours might be slightly behind. I don't know if you were implying that for some reason I might get preference I think I can safely say that would NOT be the case. They wouldn't do that. They don't know which individual orders an amp, just which stores. I don't know what you mean about your style changing with the weather. I played full time for about 2-1/2 years before I decided I liked part time better and my taste in guitar tone never changed. I always found, then and since, that good gear can do anything, given the proper accessories and pedals.

Now they did have the amp ordered before I paid for it. So it wasn't a delayed order. But I also know that they ordered a combo and that was just what I wanted. I'm hoping that billyguitar didn't order a head cause your right it may be my problem. And if thats the case billy could you find out from that same source when they might start making the combos. And as far as sounds and styles changing I do understand that great sounding equipment will never go out of style but, when I'm sitting here waiting on a jangley sweet vox sound while all the while am craving something like a bogner Uberschall then thats what I'm talking about, about style and sounds changing. I really do listen and love a wide wide range of music. My thing is a song just has to feel right and if it does that for you no matter how simple it may be, it's Gold. My band is not a cover band, but whenever we wright it often holds on to no one style of music just simply because we right what the ears love to hear. I'm shure everyone does this.
Anyway, let me know guy's

Jakelefler, as a business owner myself, the store cannot keep your money for an item that you have not recieved. simple as that, all you need to do is go in and say, I am here to pick up my item, they say we don;t have it, you say, I will take my money back...they say no, you say I will see you in small claims court, if they have been in the same position before you are entitled to treble damages. They are bound as merchants to deliver a product, if they have not done that, then thats the ball game. Had you recieved the amp, then if the store has a no return policy you are pretty much out of luck. But that has to be a posted policy of record, they cannot simply make up a policy just for you./. I have never held money like that, I have charged a small restock fee, usually $50.00 as someone else is always waiting to purchase the item anyway..so I looked at the 50$ as a gift and people did not mind...not only that, but they will lose customers as well....good luck! DISCLAIMER- I am not a lawyer and in no way is this intended to be legal advice, if you feel that you need legal advice you should contact an Attorney of your chooseing.

I understand fishman what you are saying but they did tell me before hand that this fee would apply before I put any money down in the first place. And I did mention to them that the item was not even in stock yet so its not like there were customer waiting to get there hands on it. I personally don't believe in the policy but if it is in writing somewhere and I did agree to it then in court it wouldn't hold. I really don't like the way these guys do buisness at Guitar Resurrection in Austin, Tx and probably will not do buisness with them again. I know my patience will pay off in this matter and I'm shure that this amp is going to be a life keeper. When I called the guys at the store they did say that they had called Dr. Z about the amps that they had ordered ( apperently they have a bunch on order) and they made arrangments to ship first the amps that people had already fully paid for. They said that there is also another guy which had bought a Stang after I did so I'm hoping that they hold true to there word.
But I really want to know if billyguitar ordered a head or a combo.

My first post says I ordered a blonde head and matching 2 x 10 cab, just to refresh. I don't know what an Uberschall does because I'm not a 'gain' player. The Stang Ray is definitely not a gainy amp. Even if they do make heads before combos (which I don't know if they break production down like that or not) it couldn't be much longer so be patient and hang in there. It'll come along. So you're saying this store told you to put down $500 and if you changed your mind or Z went out of business, or they went out of business, then your $500 was forfeit? That's insane! There's lots of other good stores in Austin and on the internet. You don't need to give business to jerks like that. If this is true I'd wait to get the amp and then trade elsewhere. I've never heard of a business practice like that. There was a store in KC that was a marshall dealer but wouldn't order in a Bluesbreaker reissue. They said that if they got it in and I didn't like it then they would be stuck with it. I drove to St. Louis and bought one right after that. I understood their point of view and I worked around it. The internet was barely happening then so if you want to work around them in the future you'll be able to easily. Just be patient, get your amp and then figure out your next step.
