During our second set Saturday night, a guitarist for another band I've met once or twice in the past walks in and grabs a chair. On break he comes over, "That's simply the best sounding amp I've ever heard". We talked for a good while about Z's, Analogman, Keeley...evidently he's into all the cool gear, and is now poised to buy his first Dr Z. This never seemed to happen with all my Fenders, but does all the time with the Z's. Anyone else experience this? The same fingers & guitar...just a different amp.

I've had that happen with my Flexi but I haven't had the 'ray out yet, so it will be interesting to see if it happens there too. hohn, I know what you mean about the wait - can't gig my Stingray until I get its cab, so even though I'm staring at a Stingray here, I'm waiting too!

Ha! I didn't think you knew who I was Bill - there's comfort in anonymity!
As far as the Ray versus the 18w Marshall? BEHIND ME SATAN!! You're the cause of mucho $$$ going out of my household! (Although I definitely consider it money well spent!)
I gotta buy another electric guitar - one 70's era stat ain't enough. I think I need something with a humbucker. I'm looking forward to hearing your stangray though.

I get comments more frequently gigging with my Maz Sr. than any other amp I've used. People generally say "Man, your tone is so good....now if you could only play".

I think I need something with a humbucker. Uh oh, 'buckers & Marshall's...looks like scotty is having an influence! Of course, he's a pretty influential guy ;D guitarman1, I get a lot of that too...great tone, blah blah. Okay, lets hear about the chops already.

Yes he is! Of course he has 20+ of both guitars and amps so I don't plan on trying to keep up with him. You should hear the Marshall though - very sweet!
