How many amps were made in the original Stingray run? Also, curious how many were actually shipped at had a "Mantaray" logo.
Maybe some future collectables here.

Someone else may know for sure but I believe they made 50 Stingrays. I inquired recently if my amp on order would be a Stingray, Mantaray or a Stang Ray. They said no Mantarays were made. All would be Stang Rays and the Stingrays had all been ordered. By the way, I don't know if Stang Ray will be one word or two. I haven't seen it written yet. I wish they'd show us a face plate at least.

I believe it was 50 heads, and 50 combos, not sure if any of Brad's amps count toward this total!
I lucked out and got head #41 ;D

I just bought combo #47! On it's way from KY to CA. I'll keep you folks posted. I'm also interested in knowing if "Stang Ray" is going to be compound or two words. I think they should do it like: "St*ngray" just for the heck of it. I bet those guys at EB would raise a brow or two at that right back at ya suggestion from good 'ol Z. Maybe even a "St!ngray" would be more exciting. Anyway, enough from me. Take care. JRH
